Our business began back in 2008 when our Director, Ken West, recognised the opportunity and need for someone to source and supply competent, consistent and competitive blast-stemming materials to mines across the Hunter Valley in New South Wales.
The Hunter Valley has over 40 coal mines. Mount Arthur, near Muswellbrook, is the biggest mine in the region.
Within a few short years, we gained a strong reputation for being a consistent and reliable supplier. Led by Ken, our small team spent many years building and maintaining relationships with local quarries, suppliers and transport companies.
It’s how we built our name and grew our company in the local region.
Because we had built such strong relationships with our mining customers, other people began to come to us with requests to source and supply other quarried and recycled materials for use in different industries, including civil infrastructure and construction.
Almost two decades later, we’ve grown to a point where we’re now supplying hundreds of thousands of tonnes of blast-stemming product and quarried civil, construction and agricultural materials to long-term clients in the Newcastle and the Hunter Valley region.
