Natural and recycled sand and dust from local quarries
Our sand and dust is sourced from our own quarry, Hunter Blue Metal, and from partner quarries across the Hunter Valley that we have worked with for years. Sourcing from more than one quarry means we hold stock of every standard size and can keep supplying through wet weather, plant shutdowns and peak demand. Manufactured concrete sand is essential for producing high-quality concrete, asphalt, mortar and plaster, providing strength and durability. Crusher dust is the fine material left after rock is crushed, graded from about 5mm down to a fine powder. We supply it in 5mm and 6mm, to specification or non-spec. It compacts hard and holds its shape, which is why it is used for pipe bedding and as a base under pavers.
Crusher dust can be used as a base material for laying pavers, bricks, or tiles, providing a stable foundation. It can also be mixed into concrete to improve its workability and durability. Additionally, it’s commonly used as a backfill material behind retaining walls or as a bedding material for underground pipes and cables. Yes, not only are our sand and dust processes eco-conscious, but we also repurpose, recycle and reuse materials to prevent what goes into landfill. By delivering in bulk, we also reduce carbon emissions.
Standard stock sand and dust is generally delivered the next business day. Orders placed before 12pm the day before are usually on site the following day. Because we hold our own stock and draw from our own quarry, Hunter Blue Metal, and partner quarries across the Hunter, we can usually source what you need in the quantity you need.
Sand and dust is sold by the tonne and delivered in bulk tipper loads, and there is no minimum order. Call 1300 150 777 with your site address and tonnage for a delivered price per tonne.
We bulk deliver across Maitland, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Cessnock, Singleton, Muswellbrook and the wider Hunter Valley, and to mine sites and civil projects across regional NSW by arrangement.
Yes. Grading and test certificates are available on request for specified work. Tell us what the specification calls for when you order.
