Singleton Stemming supplies quarry materials to businesses across the Hunter: aggregate, road base and subbase, specialty rock, sand and dust, and blast stemming for mines. It’s all sourced from our own quarry, Hunter Blue Metal, and trusted local suppliers across the Hunter.
We started in 2008 supplying blast stemming to Hunter Valley mines. Other customers began asking us to source other quarried and recycled materials, and the range grew from there.

What a full range means for your job
Most jobs need more than one material. Buying them from one supplier means one team to ask. If what you need isn’t on our product list, our team can recommend the right material for your needs and source it for you.
Whatever you order from us, we’ll get it to your site. Standard stock ordered before 12pm the day before is generally on site the next business day. Materials are sold by the tonne with no minimum order, and delivered in rigid tippers and truck and dogs, with access to 50 to 60 tonne trucks, all GPS tracked.
Local, and what we mean by it
Local, for us, means the Hunter. Our reliable stock and local supply chain, built over years, ensures your projects stay on track. Sourcing from more than one quarry means we hold stock of every standard size and can keep supplying through wet weather, plant shutdowns and peak demand.
It also shapes how we source. We consider carbon emissions by looking at where materials come from: drawing from the nearest supplier, taking the shortest transport route and maximising load weight whenever possible. Delivering in bulk reduces emissions too.
Natural crushed rock is our core range, and recycled material can be supplied on request.
Who we supply
We supply mines, civil contractors, builders and farms across Newcastle, Maitland, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Cessnock, Singleton and Muswellbrook, and to mine sites and civil projects across regional NSW by arrangement. We also supply local councils and Transport for NSW, among others.
